HOPE is about an undead man journeying through a cruel world of bullies and bad luck. On Karl’s brainless search for hope, he is struck with the sad truth that what he once had, is now gone.

I wanted to tell a story in a way that hasn’t been told before in the zombie genre. With the element of the zombies not being hostile or bloodthirsty, it left a lot of room to tell a new story. You don’t know what you have until it is gone and if you push someone too much, they might just become unhinged.

HOPE Officially Selected to the Manchester Lift-Off Film Festival is the biggest accomplishment of my filmmaking career. An excellent opportunity to share my work and connect with other industry filmmakers from around the world. I am thrilled for HOPE to be a part of this festival and I look forward to the screening this Month.

Monday, 27th March From 6.30pm

Texture, 67 Lever St, Manchester M1 1FL

Lift-Off currently has festivals in Manchester, New York, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Paris, Amsterdam, Seoul, Sydney, Tokyo, Los Angeles and London.

“This years competition was extremely tough. It is clear to see that indie filmmaking in Manchester and the surrounding areas are quickly becoming some of the best in the world. Getting into this programme whether you are a local filmmaker or a filmmaker from elsewhere is a really great achievement. These artists are well on their way to becoming industry players!”
