BITS Film Festival Announces the Launch of BITS Radio

Canadian indie genre festival, The Blood in the Snow Canadian Film Festival (BITS) is proud to announce the launch of a new podcast showcasing the hottest names in Canadian indie genre filmmaking, from BITS alumni, partnering festivals and conventions, and fans of the thriving Canadian indie film scene.

BITS RADIO is hosted by veteran radio host and horror fanatic, Robert Bellamy (Movie Madhouse) along with BITS Festival Director and Founder Kelly Michael Stewart. BITS RADIO will be a year round platform for filmmakers and fans to interact and spread the word about the latest and greatest happenings in Canadian indie genre film.

“We are always looking for ways to bring exposure to our filmmakers year round” Stewart says. “BITS RADIO is the perfect addition to our current outreach initiatives, which we hope will elevate our incredible local talent to the national stage.”

The first three episodes of BITS RADIO, all dropping on June 9, were recorded at the infamous horror/exploitation film convention Shock Stock in London ON, and feature a broad cross-section of indie horror personalities such as Mitch Markowitz (Hilarious House of Frightenstein), Jake Windatt (Shock Stock founder), Samantha Mack (exploitation star), Darren Hutchings (The Post-Lifers), Mikey McMurran (Secret Santa), Alexander Silverberg (The Butcher Shop), Kyle Hytonen & Derek Lukosius (Massacre at Femur Creek) and CF Benner & Chad Archibald (Black Fawn Distribution).
