Shriekfest Film Festival to Screen U.S Premiere of Fractured, Starring April Pearson and Karl Davis
The annual Los Angeles competition will kick off with an opening night gala October 5
The Shriekfest Film Festival, an international horror/sci-fi film and screenplay competition, has announced its 2017 finalists and is slated to screen the horror thriller Fractured, starring April Pearson (Skins, Tormented) and Karl Davis (Happy Valley, Game of Thrones). Louisa Lytton (EastEnders) also stars.
In the film, a couple decides to take a weekend getaway and drive into the isolated countryside, but when they arrive at their cottage unscathed, they can’t help but feel like someone is watching.
Shriekfest will screen 10 feature films, in addition to more than 30 outstanding and diverse international short films, covering just about every aspect of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy.
The Shriekfest Film Festival runs October 5 – 8, 2017. The public is invited to an opening night party at Boardners/Club Sinister in Hollywood; the rest of the festival will be at the iconic Raleigh Studios on Melrose Ave
Shriekfest is celebrating its 17th year. It was created in July 2001 by Denise Gossett and has grown into the longest-running and one of the largest horror and sci-fi film festivals in the country. Shriekfest will be bi-coastal for the first time this year as well, with Shriekfest Orlando kicking off on October 21. Since its inception, Shriekfest has offered young and upcoming writers, actors and producers a chance to have their work screened and rated by peers.
