“What would you do if your beloved pet suddenly turns into a mortal enemy?”…

When Calloway Foster woke up that morning, he never expected it to be a deathblow to life on earth.

Nothing can prepare him for one of the world’s most loved species to turn into the undead. Four-legged zombies now run rampant-hungry and intelligent, they are merciless to those still struggling to survive.

Follow Cal on a turbulent journey filled with horrific loss, new love, and unbelievably terrifying events.

Will he find his twin brother in time? Can he keep his family safe?

A terrifying surprise twist will test the survivors to the brink of humanity’s very existence.

“This book is not only filled with terrifying horror mouth dropping moments but it has a great story. The characters are amongst the best I’ve ever read, with so much depth and charisma”

“This is a great horror story. I love how you could follow the progression of the virus which you don’t normally get. I loved the blood and gore, very bloody and very realistic. You will have front row seats to mauling’s and the evil that one person does to another.”

“I can’t tell you how horrified I was by this book. It is truly a horror story… One of my favorite aspects of the story is the gleeful and brilliantly described violence and gore. I hate to admit how much I enjoy a creatively described death, but I do! There are sounds and sights and smells that Ellie Douglas describes about her world that are unforgettable!”

Ellie Douglas has accomplished what so many authors before her have failed attempting, and has written a novel that truly personifies the word “horror”. This isn’t to say there aren’t plenty of good horror novels out there, but it’s not uncommon for authors to lose sight of the “horror” aspect of what they are writing and instead replace it with action or mystery. Hounded is a gore lovers dream from it’s first page to it’s last. With countless mutilations, dismemberment and gross bodily functions, it is short on neither terror nor gore and is a must-read for any horror fan with a strong enough stomach. But don’t be fooled by this outline, unlike most gore-fests which rely heavily on graphic content to fool the reader into thinking they are reading quality work, Hounded accompanies it’s gruesome choice of words by incorporating a strong, flowing and extremely well thought out narrative. Hounded takes it’s inspiration from the tried and tested zombie virus plot, then twists and molds it, and cranks it up to 11, making it not only twice as terrifying, but twice as interesting as your usual undead flick. What sets Hounded above the rest is it’s ability to create a completely unique zombie plot, whilst also keeping it well in the realms of possibility. This enhances the believability of the story, which, in turn, creates the sense of dread and horror.”

“It’s been a long time since I read a book that gave me nightmares about dogs. It was probably Cujo, and I was twelve, and the vivid images from that story still haunt me today. But now I have some new horror wallpaper plastering the inside of my head, and Stephen King has to share space with Ellie Douglas, who has dethroned him as the King of Canine Carnage.

“A must read for all…5 stars, only because I couldn’t give more.”

Hounded 2 is an explicit horror – full of spattered slaughter, love and loss, fast-moving action, and a maze of unexpected destruction, that is sure to keep you turning pages late into the night.
