On Friday, May 11, 2018, Popcorn Frights kicked off its new Friday Night Frights screening series with “The Return of the Living Dead.”
The screening was introduced by Popcorn Frights co-founders Igor Shteyrenberg and Marc Ferman. As usual, they got horror fans fired up for the screening, and awarded a few lucky fans some great prizes.
This was an extra special screening for a couple of reasons. For one, it was hosted by Scream Queen and one of the film’s stars, Linnea Quigley. The fans in attendance got a chance to meet her both before and after the screening. Marc Ferman interviewed Linnea after the film, which you can see below.
This also marked the first screening in the Popcorn Frights Film Festival’s new home, Savor Cinema. It was a huge success, as it sold out with 200 plus fans in attendance.
They will looking for more sellouts at their next two screenings, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) on June 15th and A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master on July 13th.
And mark your calendars for the Popcorn Frights Film Festival August 10th-16th. They’re looking to screening another 40 plus films, along with parties and other awesome events! Festival badges are on sale now, and highly recommended for those who will be attending the festival on multiple nights!
