Bloody Disgusting, Multicom Entertainment Group & Trafalgar Releasing Announce Exclusive Partnership to Create Fan-Curated “Retro Nightmares” Cinema Series

Fan Voting Began Friday the 13th of July to Determine Which Cult-Horror Classics Screen in Movie Theaters Nationwide This Fall

An exclusive partnership between the preeminent American horror genre website Bloody Disgusting, worldwide independent distribution company Multicom Entertainment Group, Inc. and global event cinema leader Trafalgar Releasing, is bringing horror fans nationwide a by-demand cinema series titled “Bloody Disgusting Presents Retro Nightmares” debuting in movie theaters nationwide this fall.

Voting began Friday, July 13th at www.BloodyDisgusting.com to narrow a selection of ten top cult classic and franchise films to determine the most demanded titles to be shown in a three-night series during the Halloween season.

Titles for consideration include “Amityville It’s About Time”, “Don’t Go In The House (1979)”, “Day of the Animals”, “Grizzly”, “The Convent”, “House on Sorority Row” among others, all of which have been digitally remastered.

“Bloody Disgusting always puts fans first, which is why we are so excited to be partnering with Multicom and Trafalgar Releasing on this Halloween Horror series. Allowing our fans to choose what they want to see on the big screen helps complete that mission,” said Bloody Disgusting Co-Founder Brad Miska.

“We have been looking for just the right platform to create a communal experience around some of our cult horror titles,” Darrin Holender, President, Multicom Entertainment Group said. “Many of these films haven’t been shown on the big screen in decades and all have been remastered to HD. This is going to be a fun event series for rabid horror fans.”

“We are excited to give horror fans the opportunity to drive the decision-making process and tell us what will excite them to relive on the big screen leading into Halloween. The partnership with Multicom and Bloody Disgusting will create something very special for our collective audiences,” said Trafalgar Releasing SVP of Programming Kymberli Frueh. “The voting is just the beginning of the many surprises we have in store for fan participation.”

Once voters select the titles for the series, Trafalgar Releasing will announce winning titles, exhibition dates, and participating theaters. Tickets are expected to go on sale in select national locations in mid- August.
