Shriekfest Announces its 2018 WINNERS!

Shriekfest, the Los Angeles International Film Festival & Screenplay Competiton was a huge success! Denise Gossett, festival director, once again hosted Shriekfest Oct 4-7th at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. Shriekfest screened 48 films and had 40 screenplay finalists.
Gossett says “I’m so very proud of all of these talented people. It is an honor to know them.”

“Camp Cold Brook” directed by Andy Palmer took the Grand Jury prize for Best Horror Feature Film, “Echoes of Fear” directed by Brian and Laurence Avenet-Bradley took the Best Supernatural Horror film, “Sound Wave” directed by Dylan K. Narang took the Best SciFi Feature Film Award, and “Alive” directed by Rob Grant took the Best Thriller Feature Film Award.

“Latched” directed by Justin Harding and Rob Brunner took the Best Horror Short Film Award, “Safe” directed by Tim Earnheart won the Best SciFi Short Film Award and “Cabin Killer” directed by Michael Rich took the Best Super Short Film Award.

The winner of the Best Horror Feature Screenplay went to “No Child Left Behind” written by Dan V. Shea, the winner of the Best Sci-Fi/Fantasy Feature Screenplay goes to “A Quiet War” written by Carroll Brown, and the winner of the Best Thriller Feature Screenplay goes to “Pervert” written by Rona Mark.
