Lou Yardley is Bringing the Horror to Brighton

The festive edition of the Brighton Book Fayre will be taking place at the Brighton Open Market on Saturday 24th November, 10am – 4pm. Not only will this be a fantastic free event where punters can meet a variety of authors, but something will be lurking ominously amongst the paperbacks…

Lou Yardley is coming to town.

She’s exactly like Santa… wait, no… she’s nothing like Santa. Lou Yardley is a Horror and Dark Fantasy author from South London. Her latest novel, “Hellhound”, was recently named as a finalist in the 2018 Independent Author Network Book of the Year Awards and has amassed an impressive collection of positive reviews. Customers on Amazon have described Yardley as “a new star in the horror genre”(Owen Z Thompson) and “Hellhound” as “a fantastic werewolf story with interesting and believable characters” (P.J. Blakey-Novis), “a truly gripping story” (Cazzy43) and “a great read for any fan of horror”(Feral Rogue).

M. Grant Kellermeyer from Oldstyle Tales Press also had this to say about the book:

“Horror writers often excel at creating eerie atmosphere, summoning terror, or what Stephen King called “the gross-out,” and while Yardley is gifted in all three respects, her work has something else that many supernatural novels lack: the ability to write a good story. “Hellhound” is a guessing game that keeps its readers in suspense and teases with a deft skill reminiscent of the corkscrew plots of Ambrose Bierce: like so many of his ghost stories and psychological thrillers, this is a tale that merits a second and then a third read.” (Read more here.)

Lou Yardley will be selling and signing books throughout the event (including books that have been purchased elsewhere). Her books will be available at special “book fayre prices” and there’s even an opportunity to get an extra £1 off by using this voucher. This is her very first book fair, so she’d love to see as many friendly faces as possible! Come and say hi!
