While most of the residents of a small Argentinian town attend a funeral procession following a tragic building collapse, the few who do not will face terrors of their own in this mashup of urban legends from brothers-filmmakers Sebastián and Federico Rotstein. Think bondage, torture, zombies…and governmental corruption. Juan goes on a date with Sonia to a school where students get even with teachers. Luco and Paulo create an elaborate plan to swap girlfriends. Two lovers escape into a motel for a night of passion, while a group of friends enjoys a snuff film. As their primal urges distract them all, local officials are judged innocent of the neglect that caused the building collapse and then the horror really begins.

Set in 1846 on a remote island off the west coast of Scotland, a heavy storm causes a merchant ship to sink. The film opens with its three survivors rowing through a think early morning mist, lost and disorientated. The fog begins to clear and The Isle appears before them. Abandoned except for four sole residents, an old harbor man, a farmer, his niece and a young mad woman, the isle is anything but welcoming. These people clearly haven t seen anyone from the outside world for some time and their reluctance to help the sailors back to the mainland is evident. Once rested, the three men are desperate to return home but the promised boat never appears. One of the sailors starts to question what happened on the island and why the people abandoned it so quickly. Through his investigation he discovers that every year around the same date a tragedy at sea would occur and young men from the island would perish. When his two shipmates meet with fatal accidents, the myth of a ghostly siren haunting the island leads him to try and uncover the truth while he battles to save his own life and escape the clutches of the island.

October 1992. Londoner Jane Darcy travels to Greenvale, New York to claim the remains of her mother, Emma Grey, who died from a brain aneurism. She encounters Christopher Dodd, a twisted man with a deep connection to her late mother, and Sheriff Miranda Lacey, his fierce protector. An evil secret wrought by Jane s grandmother Mary’s guilt from an illicit affair with a local priest decades earlier has savage repercussions. It is only when Jane sees Christopher ceremoniously burning Emma’s things in a raging fire he set in a rusted-out silo, that the full extent of the evil comes to light.

A demonic creature not of this world impregnates a woman. 160 years later a team of ghost hunters must set aside their quick buck party mentality when they discover one of their team is the offspring of the entity haunting the place – and its true target. The offspring and her friends become uneasy allies with the ghost of the mother to destroy the demon and restore harmony.

This Orwellian sci-fi thriller reverberates with such wildly different influences such as Terry Gilliam, Steven Spielberg, Philp K. Dick, Jean-Luc Godard s Alphaville and Andrei Tarkovsky s Solaris. Set in the dystopian future of 2030 Warsaw, a man wakes up without any memory of his previous life and finds an old radio from the 1950s that triggers mysterious visions of another past life. A beguiling sci-fi love story that is at turns bleak, absurd, unsettling, and oddly affecting.
