‘A young, fearless, and energetic company.’

-The Examiner

The Corps Ensemble was founded in 2015 by a small group of actors and theatre practitioners who wanted to push their artistic limits and create a tightly knit, uninhibited and impassioned ensemble to present vital and exhilarating work for the stage. We believe that theatre should be about taking risks, aesthetically and physically, about breaking down the barriers between audience and performer, and above all, communicating ideas and feelings led by great performances, great stories and great playwrights.

Stewart Roche trained at the Gaiety School of Acting. His first play Curious Tales for Christmas had its world premiere at Theatre Upstairs in December 2012 and has recently been published. His full-length play Revenant had its world premiere in the New Theatre in November 2013 and was nominated for the Stewart Parker Award. His latest play Wringer will return to Bewley’s Café Theatre October – November 2019.
