Award-Winning Short LVRS by Emily Bennett will Premiere Digitally on ALTER Feb 12th

Writer/Director Emily Bennett announced today that her award-winning short film LVRS will have its exclusive online premiere on the Gunpowder & Sky horror platform ALTER on February 12th, 2020. LVRS will remain on the site until March 19th.

Award winning actress Emily Bennett (The Blacklist, Chicago Fire) paired with Emmy nominated producer Keaton Wooden (Vibrations, NightLights) on the film LVRS (pronounced “Lovers”), a short film about love and abuse.

Bennett was awarded “Best Director” at the Horrible Imaginings Film Festival. The film had its European Premiere at the Sitges International Film Festival, and also screened at Brooklyn Horror Festival, Hollyshorts Film Festival, Phenomena Festival, and Frightening Ass Film Fest and made semi-finalist at Etheria Film Festival.

LVRS, through a largely dialogue-free and highly visual presentation, explores the devastating and contradictory experience of going through — and staying in — an abusive relationship.

Bennett will next make her feature directorial debut, co- directing the horror feature KEPT with filmmaking partner Justin Brooks (Vice, A&E) alongside Andrew Corkin’s and Theo James’ Untapped Productions.
