PRODUCTION WRAPS ON GREGORY LAMBERSON-PENNED SHOWDOWN IN YESTERYEAR STARRING VERNON WELLS AND DEBRA LAMB; FIRST LOOK IMAGE

Production has wrapped on Showdown in Yesteryear, a time travel western from AB Productions filmed at the wild west attraction Dogwood Pass in Ohio. Timothy O’Hearn co-directed the feature with cinematographer Aaron Bratcher, and the pair co-produced with star Jeff Grennell. Gregory Lamberson (Widow’s Point) wrote the screenplay, based on O’Hearn’s short film The Door. Vernon Wells (The Road Warrior, Commando) co-stars with Debra Lamb.

Showdown in Yesteryear follows Grennell as contemporary sad sack Daryl Dumwoody, who discovers a mysterious door in the woods which transports him to a frontier town in the 1800’s. There, Dumwoody contends with oppressive town boss Orson Kane (Wells), a fiercely independent widow (Lamb), and a gang of ruthless outlaws while attempting to find a way back to his own time. O’Hearn plays a desperado.

The producers utilized Dogwood Pass’ authentic western town, costumes, horses and props for the romantic adventure yarn. The Door was a success on the film festival circuit, and just won the Director’s Choice awards for Best Fantasy Film and Best Actor for Grennell at The Wild Bunch Film Festival in Willcox, Arizona. Post-production on the feature begins immediately, with all distribution rights available.
