Blood Pledge, a unique horror/sci-fi feature film produced by Spring Break Films and starring Matthew Ewald recently launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise finishing funds for this micro-budget project.
The production pushed the boundaries of guerilla filmmaking, shooting two weeks in the mountains of North Carolina with a 3-man set crew.
Written by Judy Padgett, best selling author of “The Savage Magic” series and Dan Gordon, a screenwriter based in Los Angeles. Dan Gordon also made his directorial debut.
Blood Pledge is a contained horror/sci-fi with a talented ensemble cast. A sorority pledge fights to survive a hazing weekend at an isolated cabin, after an alien infects the women with a parasite, turning them into bloodthirsty hosts.
The story’s characters and distinctive narrative caught the attention of editor Gib Jaffe (RAMBO 2, THEY LIVE) who signed on to edit the feature.
