The Men Who Made Frankenstein at The Old Red Lion Theatre

Second Self presents The Men Who Made Frankenstein at The Old Red Lion Theatre (as part of the London Horror Festival)

Whose body parts were used to create Frankenstein’s monster?

1717: Edward and Margaret are condemned to hang. The trapdoors open, the ropes snap tight… and they wake, haunted, alive. But they soon discover that rescue demands payment. The currency: healthy flesh, ripe for transplant!

Our twist on Mary Shelley’s horror classic reveals the last days of the men and women who became part of Frankenstein’s monster.

Second Self is an ensemble of emerging artists who create bold, eye-opening theatre experiences about the niche, the sidelined and the taboo. Populist, political and avant-garde, our shows give voice to socially silenced issues that everyone can relate to. In so doing, we leave our audiences breathless with wonder and burning with questions.
