From September 15th – November 4th, the streets of Universal Studios Florida™ come alive with all-new hordes of horrifying mutants, monsters and maniacs. Explore nine terrifying haunted houses, brave five creature-filled scare zones, enjoy two outrageous live shows, and experience many of the park’s most exciting rides and attractions.

Here’s a look at a few of the haunted houses coming to HHN27…

FX’s critically-acclaimed, Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning television series “American Horror Story” will again come to life at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. For a second consecutive year, guests will venture through Ryan Murphy’s groundbreaking horror anthology where they’ll encounter iconic scenes and come face-to-face with the memorable – and horrifying – characters from the series.

Universal Orlando’s all-new, incredibly-detailed maze will bring three new installments of the “American Horror Story” anthology to life. In Asylum, guests will travel through the decades of the notorious Briarcliff – evading Dr. Arden’s grotesque human “Rasper” experiments and coming face to “face” with the serial killer, Bloody Face. In Coven, New Orleans aesthetics will surround guests as they’re drawn into the bloody rivalry between the descendants of the Salem witches, the voodoo Queen of New Orleans Marie Laveau, and the sadistic Madame Delphine LaLaurie. And finally, guests will relive the horrific story of the Millers in Roanoke – where they’ll be at the mercy of Piggy Man, the grisly Polk family and the ghosts of the blood moon.

The Shining” maze at Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights will provide guests with a unique opportunity to relive some of the film’s most iconic, and sinister, moments. While venturing through the eerie Overlook Hotel, guests will be thrust into the hotel’s tragic history of murder and madness, bearing witness to caretaker Jack Torrance’s spiraling descent into insanity. Nightmarish visions will come to life in this macabre maze, overwhelming guests with the “shine” of the murderous, ghostly entities that lurk around every turn – all while trying to escape the wrath of Jack Torrance as he violently succumbs to the hotel’s paranormal forces.

The “Ash vs Evil Dead” maze will transport guests into the town of Elk Grove, Mich., where they will encounter Deadites – people or objects possessed by evil demons – that have been unwittingly unleashed by Ash Williams – again. Throughout the maze, guests will come face-to-face with disturbing characters and iconic comedic and gory scenes from seasons 1 and 2 as they desperately try to escape all things evil…before it’s too late.

Based on the Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures hit horror film franchise, “SAW: The Games of Jigsaw” will bring to life the scariest game yet. In this all-new maze guests will come face-to-face with the work of master craftsman “Jigsaw” and a collection of his most infamous traps from the SAW film series and upcoming eighth installment JIGSAW.

Other houses include: Dead Waters, The Fallen, Scarecrow: The Reaping, and The Hive!

Scares Zones & Shows

This year, these horrifying street experiences will live within a collection of the most unearthly and macabre terrors called The Festival of the Deadliest. From the depths where nightmares are born, this horrifying “scare zone” is an ancient tradition filled with hellish wonders that are hard to resist and impossible to escape. This ghastly collection of madmen and monsters from beyond the veil have joined together to revel in firelight and create the ultimate afterlife of fright. And this is just the beginning.

Once guests enter this hallowed celebration of blood and bone, their nightmares will never end as they’ll attempt to survive two unique “scare zones” based on two celebrated horror films – iconic Halloween film Trick ‘r Treat and popular film franchise The Purge – as well as two additional original “scare zones” reaped from the twisted minds of Universal Orlando’s Entertainment Team. Joining these horrific street experiences are nine disturbingly real haunted houses and two outrageous live shows – creating the ultimate Halloween event that no soul can survive.

Inspired by the iconic horror film from Legendary Pictures and directed by Michael Dougherty, guests will be thrust into the traditions of Halloween with an authentic showcase to celebrate the haunted holiday. Surrounded by jack-o’-lanterns and door steps awaiting trick-or-treaters, the infamous Sam will be lurking in the shadows to strictly enforce the rules of Halloween – and those who disobey will pay the price…

An American tradition returns to the streets of Halloween Horror Nights with the annual Purge set to commence. This gory “scare zone” will feature the return of fan-favorite characters from the film saga and the notorious victim auction whose bidders want nothing more than to exercise their right to Purge.

Guests will become the grotesque human experiments of fearless alien scientists who continue to plan the preeminent destruction of planet Earth.

Guests will come face-to-face with some of the most horrifying characters found in this year’s assemblage of haunted mazes – based on iconic horror films and terrifying hit TV shows.

Universal Orlando’s Halloween Horror Nights will also feature two incredible live shows. This year, Academy of the Villains returns for a second consecutive year with an all-new show, Academy of Villains: Afterlife – incorporating fearsome elements from this year’s Festival of the Deadliest “scare zone.”
