FacePlant Theatre bring their critically acclaimed comedy horror ‘THE SERVICE’ to The King’s Head this April.
The rapture is approaching. When it does, will your soul be saved?
The Service is an interactive comedy; which combines clowning, dark humour and horror, taking a riotous poke at religious cults and people’s absurd devotion to them. We enjoyed a sell out run at London’s Horror Festival in 2017. The show’s instagram account is updated after every performance, with photos and sefies with the latest converts.
After years in hiding, the lone surviving siblings of an extreme and unusual religious cult, are finally ready to tell their story. And they need you, to bear witness to a momentous occasion, which they believe will alter the very fabric of our world…The birth of the second coming.
Welcome to the dawn of a new era. Welcome to the end of days. Welcome, to The Service.
The Service will have the audience singing hymns, confessing sins, and consecrating the sacred cabbage. Literally. The prophecy has been written in alphabetti spaghetti, no one can doubt them now.
This unique piece of comedy horror promises to chill, confuse and covert you.
Drink the kool aid. Eat the cabbage.
Praise for The service:
‘Extremely funny. The Service is about the best fun you can have. I actually laughed myself hoarse at one of the most disgustingly icky gags I have ever seen on stage ever.’ 5*- Horror Hothouse
“Genuinely the best show I’ve seen this year” Katy Danbury, Artistic director of Old Red Lion.
