In 2017, Buzzfeed author and illustrator Adam Ellis captured the image of a ghost child in his New York City apartment. The team is in Franklinville, New Jersey, widely known among Jerseyites as a particularly haunted township. Cathy Allen’s home is right in the thick of the chaos. She has been yelled at and even pushed down the stairs, and now the hauntings are affecting her health and putting strain on her marriage. After getting a direct message from Stephanie, Allen’s daughter, Ellis rounds up Bradford and Lewis. Arriving in Franklinville, the trio is thrown right into the mix when the spirit immediately makes his presence known, demanding they leave. But is it just the former homeowner who refuses to depart, or is something darker and more sinister at play?
“Voodoo Vendetta” – Premieres Friday, December 27 at 11 p.m. ET/PT
The crew arrives in Oregon, after a desperate tweet from Summer Morgan. She fears her deceased grandmother – who lived in New Orleans and was heavily into voodoo – is haunting her.
GHOST LOOP
The all-new series “Ghost Loop,” follows a team of highly specialized paranormal experts – paranormal investigator and medium Sean Austin, empath Kris Star, researcher and tech advisor Chris Califf, design specialist Eric Vitale and tech support Matt Lytle – who focus on the distinct type of haunting known as a “ghost loop.” This is when paranormal entities terrorize the living through endless and repetitive supernatural cycles, manifesting again and again in the same location. The team will attempt to break these cycles of trapped paranormal activity and restore peace to both the living and the dead by drawing out each spirit through re-created trigger environments. SERIES PREMIERE: “Alarmed and Dangerous” – Premieres Friday, December 27 at 10 p.m. ET/PT
The team heads to Houston, where homeowner Becky is terrified by sounds of someone breaking into her home night after night – only to encounter an aggressive male entity that routinely attacks her. On their preliminary investigation, the group frighteningly gets “picked off” one by one: Kris gets sick, Matt is overwhelmed by a burning sensation on his body and Chris and Sean get into a conflict fueled by the angry spirit. Through their research, they discover that in 1921, a murder occurred in the home involving a young woman and her abusive boyfriend, whom she shot in self-defense. In order to stop the dangerous activity in Becky’s home, the team builds an environment that mimics the fateful night – and use Kris to elicit the spirit.
LOST IN THE WILD
In the new series, “Lost in the Wild,” filmmaker and explorer J.J. Kelley and journalist Kinga Philipps are reinvestigating perplexing cases of adventures gone terribly wrong, where people have met mysterious ill-fated ends. Venturing into the perilous unknown in search of answers, the duo pick up where the official investigation has ended and set off on foot to follow the path they believe will lead them to answers. From trekking deep in the Amazon jungle in search of idealists looking for a lost city to climbing a treacherous mountain in Africa where dozens have vanished, the duo combine their wilderness and sleuthing skills to navigate their way toward the truth, testing their own limits to investigate missed clues and new evidence behind these baffling cases. J.J. Kelley and Kinga Philipps journey deep into the Panamanian jungle to solve the mystery of what happened to Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers, two young Dutch women who disappeared on a hiking trail in 2014. Braving torrential rains and impenetrable darkness, they venture off the map in search of answers—following in the women’s footsteps and matching their photos and phone records as they go. They find and attempt to cross the perilous cable bridge the Panamanian government says the women fell from and speak with the indigenous couple who discovered Lisanne’s backpack in a small local village. DESTINATION FEAR
“Destination Fear” may be the most terrifying road trip ever attempted. Paranormal explorer and documentary filmmaker Dakota Laden – who has spent the last few years investigating the frightening unknown with the “Ghost Adventures” crew – is taking his sister, Chelsea Laden, and best friend, Tanner Wiseman, across the country in an RV to spend the night in the most haunted abandoned locations in America. Pursuing paranormal evidence, the team must first overcome fear itself. In each episode, the team travels to a different destination in the United States.
