The HAUNTED TROLLEY, Connecticut’s newest Halloween experience, debuted last year at the Shore Line Trolley Museum in East Haven. It was a curated event mixing story-telling, the paranormal, theater, and the ride itself.
This year, The HAUNTED TROLLEY presents MURDER ON THE SHORE LINE EXPRESS, an exclusive Halloween Murder Mystery experience very different from last year’s presentation. Guests will take an unforgettable ride aboard an ancient trolley with hosts who will turn their evening into a journey they won’t soon forget. The interactive Murder Mystery is limited to only 40 passengers per adventure. Including a pre-ride orientation and introduction to the plot, the event is an interactive 30-minute show/program combining murder, thrills, theater, and a heavy dose of comedy.
MURDER ON THE SHORE LINE EXPRESS runs a total of 12 nights:
Friday October 6 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Saturday October 7 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Friday October 13 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Saturday October 14 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Friday October 20 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Saturday October 21 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Sunday October 22 – 5PM 6PM 7PM 8PM
Friday October 27 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Saturday October 28 – 7PM 8PM 9PM & 10PM
Sunday October 29 – 5PM 6PM 7PM 8PM
The promoters make it very clear that this is not an indoor or outdoor haunted attraction, and it is very different from last year’s production. It is not a hayride, and it is not a trail in the woods. There are no zombies, no clowns, and no masked monsters. There are no chainsaws, loud music blaring, or teenaged actors chasing you or screaming in your ears. And there’s no waiting in line for hours. Expect fun + mystery + a heavy dose of laughter.
Admission is only $29 per person in advance only (that’s ten dollars less than last year!), with timed admissions every Friday and Saturday in October at 7pm 8pm 9pm and 10pm, plus the last Sundays in the month 5pm 6pm 7pm and 8pm (5pm and 6pm are designated as family/kid-friendly). There is also a limited number of $59 V.I.P. upgrade tickets which entitle guests to first boarding – choice of priority seating aboard the Trolley – plus a free souvenir logo shirt. Tickets are now on sale at: https://haunted-trolley-murder-mystery.ticketleap.com/trolley. All ages are welcome, but under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
THE HAUNTED TROLLEY’s MURDER ON THE SHORE LINE EXPRESS is produced in partnership with the Shore Line Trolley Museum, a non-profit organization. Located at 17 River Street in East Haven, CT, the Museum is recognized by the U.S. Department of the Interior as the oldest continuously operated suburban trolley line in the United States. The museum’s line and equipment are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
