“I Know What You Need”, Julia Marchese’s award winning short film adaptation of Stephen King’s story from his Night Shift collection will be added to Arrow’s Player Streaming Service on Friday, July 12th. Made through Stephen King’s now defunct Dollar Baby program, the film is set as a 1970’s after school special and was shot at the University of Maine, in the exact locations mentioned in the story. The film has played around the world in film festivals and has won over 16 awards so far, including best director, best horror short, best adapted screenplay & best production design. The film will also play at the San Diego International Independent Comic Con Film Festival Friday, July 26 at 1:45pm at the Grand Ballroom 6 (San Diego Marriott Marquis), and will be playing at the first annual KingCon in Las Vegas this October. Synopsis: It’s 1976, and popular college co-ed Elizabeth (Caroline Renee) meets an unusual boy, Edward (William Champion), who knows what she needs. Director: Julia Marchese is a filmmaker, actor, writer, podcaster, film programmer and cinephile. Her first film, Out of Print, is a documentary about the importance of revival cinema, seeing films with an audience and 35mm film to culture. The film has played all over the world in film archives, art house cinemas and universities. There is a 35mm print of the film that is now housed at The Academy Film Archives.
She is a host on three popular podcasts, Horror Movie Survival Guide, JodoWOWsky and The Loser’s Club. She also co-hosts Horror X, a video show collaboration between The George A.
