Lloyd Kaufman Returns to His First Horror Movie in Brand-New Sequel

A young Lloyd Kaufman of Troma Entertainment had a dream to make weird, cheap horror, and his very first one was 1972’s Silent Night Bloody Night directed by Theodore Gershuny, predating Black Christmas. Now, he’s come back (we bribed him!) only in a starring role as a demented asylum doctor in Silent Night Bloody Night 3: Descent, out now from Retrosploitation Video Club.

–Buddy Cooper, director of 1984’s The Mutilator, is Associate Producer of Silent Night Bloody Night 3. He brings with him male lead actor Carl J. Grasso, from the upcoming sequel The Mutilator 2.

–Our female lead is indie scream queen Tina Krause of BloodlettingWitchhouse 3: Demon FireZombiegeddon, and director of Limbo (1999) which was canonized by The American Genre Film Archive (AGFA) & Vinegar Syndrome.

–Directed by Will Collazo & Julie Anne Prescott, a horror directing duo out of New York where this entry was shot, currently developing projects with Night of the Living Dead’s John Russo.

Story:

It’s Oscar’s first day working at Bradbury Asylum, where the helter skelter patients are killing each other – when the staff aren’t trying to first. He reports to Dr. Isaac Cole who has taken a keen interest in Angelica Zacherly, survivor of the East Willard massacre. If the holidays weren’t stressful enough, not one but two Santa-clad slashers have arrived on the scene with opposing motives. From padded walls to splattered doors, Oscar’s about to learn that minimum wage can be murder.

Discover the latest chapter in the 50 year saga that began in Silent Night Bloody Night (1972) and continued with Silent Night Bloody Night 2: Revival (2015). Screenwriter of the latter, John Klyza, executive produced the new sequel, which maintains strict continuity & mythology between installments.
