OBEY, SUBMIT, CONSUME, BUY On February 6th, Vice Press Home Video, under licence from Studiocanal, release the next in their VHS series – John Carpenter’s They Live.
They Live follows on from Vice Press Home Video’s VHS releases of Evil Dead II and Dario Argento’s Suspiria, along with 20th Century Studio’s VHS release of Fede Alverez’s Alien: Romulus, which included artwork from Vice Press Home Video’s co-founder and creative director, Matt Ferguson.
This release comes in two editions, both designed by Matt Ferguson and Florey. The slip-caseThey Live, We Sleep edition features art designed by Florey and includes one of five screen- printed, white tapes featuring slogans from the film. The specially produced, white VHS tapes are exclusive to Vice Press Home Video and were created specifically for this release.
The Collector’s Edition features a double sided cover, with the front including art by Vice Press Home Video co-founder and artist Matt Ferguson, with the reverse, alternate side including the original key-art featuring Roddy Piper.
And yes, it plays. Each release includes the full film, and runs at approximately 91 minutes in PAL format.
John Carpenter’s They Live will be released on VHS by Vice Press Home Video at 6pm GMT on Thursday the 6th of February at Vice-Press.com and ships from the United Kingdom.
