SCATENA & ROSNER FILMS SET TO RELEASE THE UNFLINCHING SERIAL KILLER HORROR NO TEARS IN HELL THIS AUGUST
Scatena & Rosner Films is proud to announce the release of writer/director Michael Caissie’s haunting serial killer horror feature No Tears in Hell. Based on the true story of notorious Russian serial killer Alexander Spesivtsev, the film stars Luke Baines (Shadowhunters, A Dark Place) in an uncompromising portrayal of the brutal Spesivtsev, whose heinous crimes in the early 90s earned him the nickname the Siberian Ripper, and the late Gwen Van Dam (Star Trek: Generations) as Alexander’s enabling and overbearing mother. No Tears in Hell set to terrorize audiences on digital, VOD platforms on August 12.
”“No Tears in Hell doesn’t flinch. It drags you into the darkness and leaves a mark,” said Zach Stampone, VP, Distribution & Brand Relations of Scatena & Rosner Films. “Michael Caissie leads a fearless team, with Luke Baines and the rest of the cast delivering performances as raw as they are riveting. This is true horror. The kind that lingers.”
In the frozen darkness of an Alaskan winter, a mother and son turn their home into a house of nightmares — luring victims into a twisted web of abuse and cannibalism. Based on the terrifying true story of Russian serial killer Alexander Spesivtsev.
“No Tears in Hell was without a doubt the most difficult, but rewarding film to make”, said Caissie. “From writing the script-to physical production, and to ultimately seeing the finished film, it really was an emotional rollercoaster for everyone. From having to take emotional breaks from the writing, to witnessing cast, crew and even myself crying at the monitor because it was so intense, I knew I was making something important, and I’m really excited for audiences in North American, and all over the world to see this unforgettable film.”
Alongside Baines and Van Dam, No Tears in Hell stars Tatjana Marjanovic, Audrey Neal, Gabriella Westwood, and Erik Fellows. The film is written by Michael Caissie from a story by Alexander Nistratov, produced by Bernard Salzmann and Michael Caissie, and executive produced by Michael Tadross Jr. and Alexander Nistratov.
