Jinga Films and Danse Macabre are pleased to announce the worldwide release of backwoods horror A GAME IN THE WOODS which is now available to stream and download from most VOD platforms including Amazon, Apple, Google, Full Moon, Sky, Plex. A DVD is also available for collectors.
Written and directed by Mike McCutchen (The Next Kill) and produced by J.J. Weber, A GAME IN THE WOODS was inspired by Eli Roth’s Hostel, Tobe Hooper’s The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and cult classic The Most Dangerous Game which was based on Richard Connell’s 1924 short story The Hounds of Zaroff.
Ash (Eleanor Newman) drives to the ranch of her late grandfather with her cousin (Jameson Pitts), and girlfriend (Emily Skeen). She is planning to live stream the trip on social media but the only party games taking place at the ranch feature blood, guts, crossbows and dismemberment. Now used as a hunting ground by local rednecks, Ash and her companions become the reluctant participants of a brutal and grotesque game conducted by The Warden (John P. Crowley) in which humans are the prey.
A GAME IN THE WOODS recieved its world premiere at Fantaspoa in Brazil and also screened in official selection at Macabro in Mexico, Fantasporto in Portugal and Romford Horror Film Festival in UK.
