Caught between a troubled past and an uncertain future, a boy with strange powers learns growing up is about finding who you are, not what you can do.

Breaking Glass Pictures proudly presents Inertia, a captivating coming-of-age sci-fi drama that blends emotional depth with thrilling suspense.

Directed by Will Martinko and co-written by Martinko and Tony McCall, this poignant story of love, identity, and self-discovery takes audiences on an extraordinary journey through time, space, and the heart.

“Inertia masterfully combines the excitement of science fiction with the heartfelt storytelling of a coming-of-age drama. It’s a film that reminds us all that finding out who we are can be the greatest adventure of all,” said Rich Wolff, CEO of Breaking Glass Pictures

Roman (John Brocagh Lynn) is a 14-year-old boy grappling with the turbulence of adolescence and a secret he can’t control: the ability to defy time and space. Constantly on the run with his fiercely protective mother, Mariya (Jelena Uchev), Roman yearns for connection and a sense of belonging.

When they settle in a small Pennsylvania town, Roman befriends Lennon (Reese Grove), a bold and rebellious teen who challenges his guarded nature and helps him dream of a normal life. But Roman’s powers are more than just an unusual gift—they are a dangerous anomaly tied to his mysterious origins.

Roman’s estranged father, Dmitri (Aidan Everly), a shadowy time-travel operative, resurfaces with a dire warning: Roman’s very existence could unravel the fabric of time.

As Roman’s powers grow, so does the peril they attract, forcing him to confront forces that want to control—or destroy—him.

Caught between his mother’s fierce protection, his father’s shadowy motives, and Lennon’s unwavering faith, Roman must decide whether to run from his destiny or embrace it, risking everything to forge his own path.

Inertia is an 80-minute journey into the human heart, where the extraordinary collides with the everyday. It’s a story of courage, belonging, and the transformative power of friendship.

Will Martinko, Director of INERTIA explains,
“Choosing Rich Wolff and the team at Breaking Glass Pictures to produce Inertia was an easy decision. I wanted to tell a story rooted in my hometown in the greater Philadelphia area and have the creative freedom to explore the narrative in whatever direction it demanded. Working with Rich was a dream come true. He gave me my first shot, while providing the space and support I needed to grow as a filmmaker and bring a story to life that I truly believe is worth sharing.”
