High Fliers Films has secured UK rights to the suspense thriller Death Among the Pines, marking a renewed partnership with Shepka Productions and Flickering Myth following the release of the 2025 gothic horror The Baby in the Basket.
Directed by Nathan Shepka (Dead Before They Wake), who stars alongside Nicolette McKeown (Mercy Falls), Stephen Kerr (Spoiling You) and Olly Bassi (Dick Dynamite: 1944), the film unfolds over a single storm-lashed evening in a remote cottage in the Scottish countryside, where a woman’s decision to shelter a mysterious stranger and the subsequent arrival of a police officer conducting a manhunt for an escaped criminal raises unsettling questions about who can be trusted.
Death Among the Pines is written by Tom Jolliffe (Renegades, Cinderella’s Revenge), who also produces the film alongside Shepka, and Gary Collinson of Flickering Myth. The acquisition follows the UK release of The Baby in the Basket across digital and physical platforms, and underscores High Fliers’ continued commitment to commercially-driven UK genre fare.
Specific UK release details will be announced in due course. Meanwhile, Death Among the Pines is also available now in the United States via TVOD on Prime Video and AVOD via Tubi.
