The indie horror-thriller THE HEADMISTRESS is now available to purchase on DVD. Produced by Three Tortured Minds and Dusty Horse Productions and distributed by Indican Pictures, THE HEADMISTRESS has enjoyed a limited theatrical run in select theaters over the past few months and won the Audience Award for Best Feature Film at the 2022 Milwaukee Twisted Dreams Film Festival.

“Audiences have been so excited and enthusiastic about THE HEADMISTRESS,” said the film’s producers, Glenn Chung, Christopher A. Micklos, and Jay Sapiro. “We are just thrilled to finally give them the opportunity to own the film themselves on DVD!”

In THE HEADMISTRESS, a debt-ridden teacher gets a lucky break when she inherits an abandoned lakefront inn, but when she takes a group of potential buyers to visit the property, they discover a dark, sinister secret that threatens them all…a malignant supernatural force determined to keep them there forever!

The film’s ensemble cast is led by Chicago-based actress Katherine Bellantone, and also includes Tom Dacey Carr, Hunter O’Harrow, Thomas J. McCarthy, Ayden Skye, DeChantel Kosmatka, David Sapiro, and Valerie Meachum.

THE HEADMISTRESS was shot at a decommissioned nunnery in Oconomowoc, WI. Members of the cast and crew lived together in the abandoned nunnery for nearly two weeks during production, beginning on a Friday the 13th in September 2019.

In addition to the full feature, THE HEADMISTRESS DVD also includes a compelling full-feature filmmaker commentary track from co-directors Jay Sapiro and Christopher Micklos and producer Glenn Chung.

Critics have called THE HEADMISTRESS “a dark tale with solid performances and a creepy atmosphere”, “great horror”, “a lot of fun”, “compelling”, “delightfully creepy”, “full of jump scares and charm”, and “one very fine piece of genre cinema” that’s “well worth your time”!
