Built around survival, loyalty, and the cost of staying human when everything collapses, BLACKOUT follows two military veterans whose attempt to settle into civilian life is shattered by a nuclear crisis that brings danger straight to their doorstep. With order gone and threat closing in, they are forced into an unexpected alliance with a potential enemy, fighting to protect their team in a world where the rules have burned out.

The film is co-written and co-directed by David M. Parks and LeeAnne Bauer, who also serve as producers, delivering a character-driven survival story under extreme pressure.

The digital launch arrives with early genre visibility, including a Screen Anarchy feature highlighting an exclusive clip from the film:

The ensemble cast includes Mike Ferguson (Showdown at the Grand, Night Patrol), Twana Barnett (Beast Game, WOW: Women of Wrestling), LeeAnne Bauer (Last Hit, When it Rains in LA), Tyler James (Last Hit, You Me and Christmas Makes Three), Vu Mai (Joy Luck Club, Kade), and Omar Moustafa Ghonim (Don’t Look Up, Absolution), anchoring the film’s high-stakes world with grounded performances.

Several members of the BLACKOUT cast also appear in the indie action thriller Last Hit (2026), adding momentum for the ensemble across the independent genre space.

“Seeing audiences connect with the story so early and receiving recognition from outlets like Screen Anarchy has been incredibly exciting,” said LeeAnne Bauer, Co-Writer and Co-Director.

“Bringing this world to life has been a collaborative journey,” said David M. Parks, Co-Writer and Co-Director. “The cast poured everything into these characters, and it’s been incredible to see audiences respond to the intensity of survival when a world loses its power, literally and figuratively.”
