Synopsis
PARASOMNIA follows Riley, a young woman tormented by night terrors and a past of unresolved tragedy. When her best friend is the latest to go missing, she begins to suspect the demonic figure lurking in her sleep has crossed over into the real world.
About the Director
James Ross II is a writer and director raised in the Washington, D.C. area. He builds his stories from emotionally grounded characters living in a world heightened by genre thrills. He loves an unsettling narrative and injects his style of visceral horror while having some fun along the way. James entered the industry in 2023 when he was selected as one of five graduate students to receive a Gotham Award for his horror short film Don’t Blink.
Parasomnia, which explores the terror of surrendering control to sleep, is his debut feature.
