The Philadelphia Unnamed Film Festival (PUFF) returns to champion independent, underground cinema while driving direct financial support back into the local Philadelphia creative economy. As a 100% volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit, PUFF continues its mission to uplift unconventional artists, foster community partnerships, and expand access to film arts across the region.
This year alone, PUFF has spent thousands of dollars hiring local artists, designers, and gig workers, while actively supporting Philadelphia small businesses. The festival provides free industry passes to help aspiring filmmakers break into the industry, and proudly partners with and supports local film collectives including Girls Like Horror, VHS Club, Space Mouth Cinema, and the Gay Film Club.
When members of the public purchase a ticket or make a donation to PUFF, that support goes twice as far. Every dollar doesn’t just keep the festival running—it goes directly back into paying and supporting independent artists right here in Philadelphia.
For its upcoming festival edition, PUFF is thrilled to welcome 70 filmmakers from around the world to Philadelphia. Festival organizers invite the community to come out and show support for these hard-working creatives. Tickets range from $15 to $150, with income-accessible pass options available upon request to ensure cost is never a barrier. Everyone is welcome.
