Recfilms has released the official teaser for OBITUS, an upcoming Azerbaijani survival / parasite horror feature directed by Revan Jabbarov. The 105-minute film is in the Turkish language and is scheduled for theatrical release in Azerbaijan on 19 November 2026.
Set around an isolated community struck by a natural disaster, OBITUS follows survivors whose attempt to escape one catastrophe leads them toward a spreading parasitic threat. The film combines survival horror, body horror and an outbreak narrative, with a focus on isolation, family and the physical cost of survival.
OBITUS was presented at the Cannes Marche du Film in 2026. The production is currently in final post-production. Starring Mubariz S., Ayleen Z., Minara M., Rahim A., and Hasan B.
About the filmmaker
Revan Jabbarov is an Azerbaijani film director, producer and founder of Recfilms. His directing credits include Without Shadow (2012), Devil’s Side (2014) and Aporia (2019). Aporia received international distribution and was made available on platforms including Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.
