Shriekfest Film Festival to Screen Sci-Fi Movie Curvature, Featuring Linda Hamilton
The annual Los Angeles competition will kick off with an opening night gala October 5
The Shriekfest Film Festival, an international horror/sci-fi film and screenplay competition, has announced its 2017 finalists and is slated to screen the science fiction-based Curvature, featuring The Terminator’s Linda Hamilton. Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass, Nikita, Agent Carter) and veteran character actor Glenn Morshower (Bloodline, Supergirl, Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon) also star.
The time-travel drama centers on an engineer who travels back in time to stop herself from committing a murder.
The Shriekfest Film Festival runs October 5 – 8, 2017. The public is invited to an opening night party at Boardners/Club Sinister in Hollywood; the rest of the festival will be at the iconic Raleigh Studios on Melrose Ave.
Over the entire weekend, the festival will screen 10 feature films, in addition to more than 30 international short films that range across the spectrum of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy.
Shriekfest, celebrating its 17th year, was created in July 2001 by Denise Gossett and has grown into the longest-running and one of the largest horror and sci-fi film festivals in the country. This is the first year that Shriekfest will be bi-coastal as well, with Shriekfest Orlando kicking off on October 21. Since its inception, Shriekfest has offered young and upcoming writers, actors and producers a chance to have their work screened and rated by peers.
