TrashArts Productions and HB Films to Remake Dustin Ferguson’s Cult Horror TERROR AT BLACK TREE FOREST

Announcing the latest project from TrashArts Productions and HB Films, ‘TERROR AT BLACK TREE FOREST’ is a UK Slasher Horror feature film based on the original US film from Dustin Ferguson, the highly acclaimed genre film maker. HB Films and Trash Arts Productions are renowned as being highly prolific producers of horror feature films including ‘Lonely Hearts’, ‘The Millennial Killer’, ‘The Truth Will Out’, ‘Monstrous Disunion’, ‘Senseless’ and many more.

Caroline and her friends usually meet up once a year for a camping trip escaping their everyday lives and feeling young again, but this time it is different. They still meet up, but someone is stalking and killing them off … one by one!

Is it a secret from the past? Or an urban legend come to life? What terror awaits at Black Tree Forest? Will anyone survive the camping trip? Will we discover the killer? Whatever you do, don’t go down to the Black Tree Forest alone – or at all!

‘TERROR AT BLACK TREE FOREST’ will be directed by Sam Mason Bell, who said ‘I am honoured to have been asked by Dustin to remake his film. Originally, he asked me in 2018 and we were about to start production when the covid-19 pandemic hit but now we can see a way to filming safely and successfully, so it feels absolutely great being back in pre-production’.

The film is planned to be shot in June / July 2021, mainly outdoors, compliant with covid-19 production guidelines and will be completed by the end of this year.

To fund the production, an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign has just been launched to raise funds for the production. The fixed funding target is currently £3,000 but they anticipate raising more. Any support though will be welcome by the filmmakers at https://www.igg.me/at/black-tree-forest

Sam Mason Bell says he “has always wanted to make a whodunnit slasher and, ‘TERROR AT BLACK TREE FOREST’ even comes with the possibility of a built-in franchise from an influential US filmmaker, Dustin Ferguson, so this really is a dream come true!”.
