VAZUM is a deathgaze (deathrock + shoegaze hybrid) duo from Detroit. Last month VAZUM released 2 singles from their upcoming album, V+ which is being released June, 25th. The singles are called Haunted House and The Familiar. Haunted House is based on bassist / vocalist Emily Sturm’s experience with a neighbor who was a victim of domestic violence. The Familiar is more light-hearted fare, a tongue-in-cheek diss track poking fun at common tropes of the goth scene.
