In the tradition of Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct comes this dazzling action-thriller starring Academy Award® nominee John Malkovich (RED) and Frank Grillo (Avengers: Endgame). After lonely tech millionaire Chris (Cameron Monaghan, “Shameless”) encounters charming, sexy Sky (Lilly Krug), passion grows between them – and when he’s injured, she quickly steps in as his nurse. But Sky’s odd behavior makes Chris suspect that she has more sinister intentions, especially when Sky’s roommate is found dead from mysterious causes.

From the moment I read the script, I loved the creative challenges and opportunities that SHATTERED presented. Taking the audience on a journey from all the excitement and passion of a romance at the start of the film, to an all-out thriller by its conclusion was a big attraction for me, and when talent of the level of John and Frank came in to support Lilly and Cameron, I knew we could have a special movie. I had been a fan of David’s razor-sharp script for a short time before Silver Reel and Construction Film approached me asking if I would like to Direct, and of course I was excited to come onboard.

I’m delighted by what we have managed to create – a roller-coaster of a movie that gradually accelerates to a (quite-literally) shattering climax as Chris and Jamie are saved by their own daughter. Along the way we capture the essence of the movie and its characters, of Chris’s fury at being tricked and desperation to escape, of Sky’s merciless, sociopathic efficiency and Sebastian’s violent, manipulative hunger for money. Shooting a good part of the story all within one house gave us the opportunity to really emphasise the claustrophobia and helplessness of Chris’s situation, where once it shielded him from the outside world it has become a prison of his own design – a creative challenge that was a lot of fun to take on. I’m very proud of what we have achieved, and feel the story comes alive as romance turns to mystery, and shortly after the mayhem unfolds.
