‘Bloody Flicks Awards’ Now Open for Entries

The annual Bloody Flicks Awards film festival is returning for 2023 with entries now open on Filmfreeway.

After the success of a physical in 2020 and a virtual festival in 2021, the festival will return to a physical event screening a number of short films and one feature film on Saturday 25 February 2023 at the Boiler Works in Stoke on Trent.

Bloody Flicks is delighted to work again with Brutal Posters on the artwork for our festival having been impressed with their previous work on indie horror projects 10/31 Part 2, The Barge People and The Rage 2.

The awards on offer for the Bloody Flicks Awards 2023 are as follows:

  • Best Film

  • Best Foreign Film

  • Best Director

  • Best Actor/Actress

  • Best Music

All of these categories will be voted for by audience members throughout the festival with winners announced on 12 March 2023 on the Bloody Flicks website and Facebook and Twitter.

Paul Downey, Festival Director of the Bloody Flicks Awards commented,

“I am delighted that we will be returning to a physical Bloody Flicks Awards film festival at the Boiler Works in Stoke-on-Trent.

“As a continued champion of the independent horror and cult cinema scene, I have been itching to get back to hosting a physical festival and screening the best films from all over the world.”

Entries for the Bloody Flicks Awards will close on 6th January 2023 with successful selections notified by 15 January 2023.

The Bloody Flicks Awards takes place on 25 February 2023 at The Boiler Works, Stoke-on-Trent.
