Writing The Feature Film Inaugural Workshop Taught By Former Hollywood Studio Executive

There are many screenwriting workshops, but none of them are taught by former Story Editor & Acquisitions Executive at Sony Pictures Entertainment / Senior Story Editor & Creative Executive at Screen Gems.  Steve Douglas-Craig M.F.A. is launching the inaugural “Writing The Feature Film” workshop October 19, 2022 to February 8, 2023.

Steve helped develop & shepherd film titles including Terminator: Salvation, The Book of Eli, Django Unchained, War Room, Don’t Breathe, and the Insidious horror movie franchise.  This is the man to help you develop your screenplay.  There’s ONLY 18 places available with a discount if you sign up and pay by October 1st.

Writers will be guided through the process of writing a feature length screenplay from idea to finished first script pass. We’ll explore story structure, scene & sequence development, the elements of tone, relevance of theme, & creating 3D character relationships that affect.

If you have an idea for a horror film and want to get it made into a movie, this is your best chance at success.

Course Description:

The goal is to guide students in the creation of a feature length screenplay over the course of 15 weeks (no mean feat!). The mentor will provide an opportunity to explore advanced dramatic structure, the minutiae of scene development, tone, style, three-dimensional character & relationship development, as well as explore film genre relationships.

Together, we’ll build a screenplay blueprint using a combination of lectures, visual presentations, analytical discussion. & lots of writing! All will be designed to stimulate an understanding of screenplay development. We will heavily workshop work in class with the intention of developing your voice & craft as a writer. It is hoped that you will complete a feature screenplay first draft (85-110 pages) by end of sessions.
