ALAN RUCK SIGNS ON TO SEAN WHALEN’S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT “CRUST”
Alan Ruck (“Succession”, “Spin City”) is joining the cast of “Crust”, actor turned director Sean Whalen’s creature feature, which begins shooting in late April in Los Angeles.
Ruck and Whalen were co-stars in “Twister”. Whalen is also starring in and producing the horror comedy written by him and Jim Wald. It’s the story of a lonely laundromat owner, Vegas Winters (Whalen), who keeps the leftover socks from customers and uses them to clean himself. When he gets abused and weeps into the pile of socks it turns into a creature who seeks revenge on Vegas’s enemies. Ruck plays Randy Roberts, a cocky former child star who is spearheading a reboot of his childhood shows.
Other cast members include Daniel Roebuck (The Munsters, Getting Grace), Rebekah Kennedy (2 WITCHES, LAW & ORDER SVU), and Shawntay Dalon (The Detroiters) with Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Terrifier 2), Ricky Dean Logan (Back to the Future), and Daniel John Kearney (Dark Circles) producing and acting.
Ruck is repped by Jeff Witjas at Artist for the Performing Arts (APA) and Mark Teitelbaum at Teitelbaum Artists Group. Whalen is Christina Price at Worldwide Artists Group Gary Ousdahl and Marc Stephens at Advanced Management.
