New Horror Short Film EMBER Launches Crowdfunding Campaign on Indiegogo

ANNOUNCING: the launch of a new crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo for the upcoming horror short film EMBER. Written by John Hull, produced and starring Patrick Gallagher, and directed by Garrett Spake, EMBER promises to be a thrilling and terrifying addition to the horror genre.

EMBER tells the story of two strangers who meet through a trendy new app and decide to have their first date at a fancy restaurant. However, things take a dark turn as the romantic evening quickly becomes a nightmare. The short film is a cautionary tale about the dangers of meeting strangers online, with plenty of twists and turns.

The crowdfunding campaign launched on March 14, 2023, and will run until April 14, 2023. The goal is to raise a minimum of $2500 to fund the entire production, including crew costs, props, and material needs. This amount also covers film festival submission fees as the team plans to submit EMBER to numerous horror-centric festivals.

Backers of the campaign can choose from a range of perks, including a digital copy of the film, posters and scripts signed by the cast and crew, the use of your picture in the film, and VIP set access on the day of filming.

“We are thrilled to bring EMBER to life and can’t wait to share it with horror fans everywhere,” said Garrett Spake, the film’s director. “EMBER has a perfect blend of surprise, humor and horror, so I’m excited to work with our cast and crew to bring these moments to life.”
