One Night Premiere Events for Indie Horror Films in Los Angeles
For 26 years, FirstGlance Film Festival, Philadelphia’s Independent Film Festival since 1996, and Los Angeles’ fastest growing Indie Film Festival since 2000, introduces the next venture. One Fright Only is specifically created for indie horror feature filmmakers in the Los Angeles area. It’s a One Night Only Special Event with Red Carpet, Exclusive Screening and a Hosted Q&A after the screening in a 200-seat theater in the heart of North Hollywood at the Laemmle North Hollywood.
#OneFrighOnly was created by Bill Ostroff, director and creator of the FirstGlance Film Festivals, when he realized the pandemic had taken away most opportunities for indie filmmakers to economically afford to four-wall a theater in the Los Angeles area. Working closely with Laemmle Theatre’s ownership, together they created an alternative model to cost effectively program feature films at the Laemmle North Hollywood, with potential expansion plans for the event in the future. Having tested this concept four times earlier this year to sold out crowds, #OneFrightOnly is sure to be a perfect concept for the indie horror community to get behind.
#OneFrightOnly offers locally produced horror producers and directors the opportunity to screen at the Laemmle North Hollywood for one night with no upfront rental costs to the filmmaker. Ostroff provides the Red Carpet and setup with photographer, box office assistance and a hosted Q&A.
With years of experience efficiently and economically managing events for World Premiere, Cast and Crew, Preview Screenings, or Launch Events for streaming releases, Ostroff oversees all the details, so the filmmaker does not have to stress on their big night.
