Statement – Peter Tilley (Producer/Co-Creator/Leading Role)

This whole process has been absolutely bonkers but my god am I proud of what has been achieved in such a little amount of time, and to get the quality results we’ve got is a huge  achievement for the entire team involved. The Foreboding was only conceived back in June, with myself messaging Alex one afternoon saying how I wanted to finally make a teen horror flick after many years and try to get it into the Horror-On-Sea Film Festival for 2024. With the deadline for film submissions being the beginning of September, we had a matter of weeks to get this whole film done. Call me crazy! Cut to entering the pre-production process at the start of July, beginning the search for our cast and scouting a suitable location to portray this world and the story to it’s full potential. After a month of getting all this done, (god knows how!) filming started at the end of July and then wrapping in early August just a matter of days later. The most stressful, crazy experience transformed into the most creative, well built team I’ve ever had the pleasure of working alongside and experiencing within my career so far. And so here we are. From the end of June, to the end of October we’ve made it into the Horror-On-Sea Film Festival, with it’s world premiere scheduled for Saturday 20th January at 5.30PM. So please come and show some support, and if you dare, take a little trip into the woods with us…

Statement – Alex Staunton-Hill (Writer/Creator/Leading Role)

I think what we’ve accomplished in the time span we had is definitely an achievement. Having Peter basically ringing me up and going “Let’s make a film!” And wanting me to come onboard as the writer and create it was brilliant. I didn’t know he actually meant for me to play as one of the characters as well but I’m glad I did. This film has so many stand out moments for me, not just in it but behind the scenes as well. Having Kemal being amazing and supportive throughout the process definitely helped. He definitely made an impact.”

Statement – Kemal Yildirim (Director/Editor/Director Of Photography)

As soon as I read Alex’s script I knew I wanted to be involved. He created a great group of characters and entwined them within this oppressive and spooky atmosphere. I have always been a fan of ghost stories told within the confines of a group setting. The Foreboding for me is that very feeling of a friendship group on the cusp of change. Using the ghost story as a device to shake the foundation of their friendships and tell a good old fashioned ghost story.

All three of them will be participating in podcasts and talk shows online to promote the film up until it’s release in January, which are expected to start releasing soon. This will coincide with a teaser trailer, cast and crew interviews and behind-the-scenes footage to keep you all entertained throughout the next couple of months.

The Foreboding: Fractured has secured it’s world premiere for the Saturday 20th January 2024 5:30PM slot at the festival. If you would like to attend the screening of the film, tickets are available to purchase now via the official Horror-On-Sea website at horror-on-sea.com.
