Cleopatra Entertainment has acquired North American and UK rights to BLOOD & SNOW, a sci-fi thriller written by Rossa McPhillips and Simon Phillips and directed by Jesse Palangio in his feature film directorial debut.
BLOOD AND SNOW begins when two scientists uncover a meteorite impact site in the Artic tundra, leaving one scientist dead and the other infected. A nearby base takes in the lone survivor whilst trying to understand what really happened. The problem is that the lone survivor may not be the person they think she is.
The film (which has been drawing comparisons to Steven King’s THE THING) has been gathering rave reviews after its recent festival run as an official selection at Horrorhound (Ohio USA), Haunted House Fearfest (NYC USA) and the Chicago Horror Film Festival (USA) amongst others.
BLOOD AND SNOW stars Vernon Wells (Road Warrior, Commando, Weird Science), Simon Phillips (Fubar, The Witcher), Anne-Carolyne Binette (Butchers, What Lurks Beneath) and Michael Swatton (Ash & Dust, Two Deaths of Henry Baker).
The rights deal was brokered by Cleopatra Founder and CEO Brian Perera, Tim Yasui VP/GM of Cleopatra Entertainment, and by Black Mandala on behalf of the filmmakers.
BLOOD AND SNOW will be released in late Spring, 2024 on VOD Platforms and also as a Home Entertainment BLU RAY/DVD release.
