CIRCUS OF THE DEAD 2 casts TERRIFIER star David Howard Thornton to join Bill Oberst Jr. (PapaCorn the Clown) in the highly anticipated sequel to the cult horror hit CIRCUS OF THE DEAD “Walk a mile in a clown’s shoes… It’s fucking hard!’ -Papa Corn the Clown
“It’s been a decade since we filmed the first movie, and the fans are demanding a sequel. Who am I to deny them?” writer/director Billy “Bloody Bill” Pon says.
CIRCUS OF THE DEAD begins with a chance meeting between Emmy Award winning actor Bill Oberst Jr. (Papa Corn) and Texas legend Parish Randall (Don). When the latter visits an old, dilapidated circus tent with his family, he encounters a nihilistic group of clowns who force him to fight for his life and the lives of those he loves. As Don delves deeper into the macabre games proposed by Papa Corn his sanity rapidly deteriorates. Armed with guns, knives, and a ’68 Camaro, the clowns take Don on an all-night spree across the highways of West Texas. This wild ride will bring blood and chaos to everyone who crosses its path.
CIRCUS OF THE DEAD 2 will push the envelope giving horror fans what they crave so rabidly. Director Billy Pon believes his films should be a rollercoaster for your senses stating:
“A good horror movie should not just entertain you. A really good one should stick to your ribs like a thick gravy!” This time Papa Corn wants to make a very disturbing and macabre statement about his view on life, death, and the pursuit of happiness.
Horror icon David Howard Thornton, best known for his knock-out turns as Art the Clown in the Terrifier franchise, recently joined the cast of Circus of the Dead 2, stating Circus of the Dead is “Such an underrated film that doesn’t get the love it deserves.”
