Troma Celebrates 50 Years With The Toxic Avenger 4K Box Set, Theatrical Screenings, Toxic Crusaders Video Game and More
Troma Entertainment, the beloved independent film distributor and production house, is excited to celebrate 50 years of independent cinema this year.
Troma Entertainment, Inc. is the longest-running independent movie studio in North America. The Tox Box is a brand new 4K restoration of the entire Toxic Avenger series, housed in an 8 disc box set with hours of extras, special features, and commentary tracks, and includes a limited edition postcard. It will be available on August 29th, and is currently up for pre-order on Amazon.
Retroware Games is developing a retro beat-em-up video game based on the cult classic Toxic Crusaders series. It is set to release in 2024, and a demo is currently playable on Steam.
Troma has partnered with Alamo Drafthouse to present the new 4K transfer of The Toxic Avenger in theaters around the United States. Select screenings will be accompanied by appearances by Lloyd Kaufman as well as Toxic Avenger cosplayers, tromettes, and a raft of merchandise giveaways and contests.
