This is followed at 7pm with MURDERS IN THE RUE MORGUE (1932), starring Lugosi as Dr Mirakle, a mad scientist who roams the Paris streets with his pet ape.
Finally, what better way to mark Halloween on than by showing John Carpenter’s 1978 classic, HALLOWEEN (Thurs 31 Oct, 9pm). Carpenter’s film was not just a box office success but also a critical one, influencing countless horror films that followed. It spawned a large franchise including sequels, remakes and reboots, continually renewing its relevance in popular culture.
