Black Mandala Presents the “Creature Feature” Horror Film, “LAKE JESUP: BONECRUSHER’S REVENGE”

Black Mandala presents the “creature feature” horror film, “LAKE JESUP: BONECRUSHER’S REVENGE”, directed by Michael Houston King. Florida’s Lake Jesup was and remains the most alligator- infested body of water in the United States. And in 2003 it became the setting for a real-life horror story when a monstrous alligator, Bonecrusher, escaped captivity from the popular tourist attraction, Gator Galaxy, and started killing people on the lake.

As the body count rose, it became clear that stopping this prehistoric monster would require a brutal and intense hunt. Former professional gator wrangler and ex-convict Bubba Coggins, recently released from prison, is presented with the opportunity to clear his record if he can find, trap, and kill Bonecrusher.

Desperate to clean up his past and start a new life with his daughter and grandson, Bubba’s moral compass is immediately challenged when he finds himself willing to do anything, even kill, to accomplish his task of ending Bonecrusher’s reign of terror once and for all. LAKE JESUP: BONECRUSHER’S REVENGE, revolves around the 13 day hunt and the relentless terror caused by a vicious, trained, and incredibly pissed off alligator.

The film will kick off its festival run with SCAREFEST, DIABOLICAL HORROR FILM FESTIVAL, BLOODIG WEEKEND, HORROR EN BANFIELD, LONDON HORROR FILM AWARDS and DEAD NORTHERN, with many more to follow soon. It’s a new entry in the successful creature feature genre and is certainly one of the best!

The film is based on real events, with Lake Jesup being a real place that is estimated to have around 12,000 alligators inhabiting it.
