Matt Schorr – the head of Schorr Manor Studio best known for Jesus Christ: Demon Slayer, Moby Dick: Back from the Deep and the Dino Horrors series – returns with a new manga terror tale for young readers.
Devil’s Elbow: Curse of the Plague Doctor
Drawing on cult classics like Eerie, Indiana and Are You Afraid of the Dark, Curse of the Plague Doctor is the inaugural title for an anthology series set in a small town where the strange and macabre are almost commonplace.
A pair of sisters – Amanda and Lille – confront the ghost of a madman from the medieval era, and struggle to figure out how to banish him forever. And they have to do it all before English class!

The man behind the horror
Matt is best known for resurrecting Moby Dick as a zombified beast, for unleashing monstrous dinos on children in an unsuspecting town, and for contributing a, award-winning humor column for nearly a decade in his hometown.
“I grew up on anthology series like Tales from the Crypt,” Matt says. “Nightmare on Elm Street. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. I was always drawn to the macabre.”
