Captivating and mind-blowing…a solid horror flick that tosses you back to the heyday of the post hippie/disco glam period that we all loved and missed.” – Dread Central

A group of people travel to the California desert for a photoshoot when they stumble upon an abandoned town called Savage. It has a history of hideous crimes from nearly 50 years ago but has been vacant for decades. Or so they thought. For they soon find they are not alone as a family of masked psychopaths have claimed Savage as their own and are hell bent on living up to the name. They are brutally hunted until the true nature of the family is revealed.

Life-long horror fan, Marcel Walz is the award-winning queer director of Blind (1019), Pretty Boy (2021). Garden of Eden (2025) and the Blood Feast (2016) remake of the Herschell Gordon Lewis cult classic, which received its world premiere at London’s FrightFest. Brute 1976 is a homage to 70s slasher movies like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. The cast includes Adriane McLean (Miracles of Christmas), Sarah French (Blind), Gigi Gustin (The Retaliators), Dazelle Yvette (Garden of Eden) and Adam Bucci (NCIS Los Angeles).
