Written and directed by David Zagorski (“Killing Brooke”, “Horny Teenagers Must Die!”) the film stars Dante Savion (“Route 80”, “Blood/Lust”) and newcomer Noelle Scarlett. Zagorski will be producing through his MAD Z Productions banner.
The film follows Savion and Scarlett as a couple who get together for an online date night on Halloween and find themselves terrorized by a sinister, supernatural entity after messing with a Ouija board.
Tapping into the screenlife horror subgenre, made popular by movies like Host and Unfriended, Date Night with the Devil takes place in real time via the characters computers as we follow their initial fun and flirty evening quickly devolve into something more frightening.
On Halloween night, engaged couple Adam and Maddie take part in an online “date night” chat session as Adam is out of town. After some light spooky fun, Adam reveals the hotel room he is staying in was the sight of several brutal deaths. Adam convinces a hesitant Maddie to join him in using a Ouija board to connect with the dead. When Adam disrespects the spirits, he unintentionally summons a demonic entity that begins terrorizing the couple.
The picture will begin production on June 1, 2026 for a planned completion summer 2026 when it will begin touring the festival circuit.
