The Swine Things: The First Journal of William Hope Hodgson, credited to Ryan Wiggins & William Hope Hodgson, was released October 30, 2026, offering readers atmospheric supernatural suspense for Halloween and the dark nights beyond.
“This book put me into a metaphysical tizzy,” says Mark Pellegrino, known for Lost, Supernatural, and Dexter. The endorsement is authorized for promotional use.
When a routine fishing trip leads two men to a dilapidated mansion, they discover a place controlled by timeless entities that feed on human despair. The nightmare follows them beyond the house as the walls of reality begin to thin.
The novel draws on William Hope Hodgson’s writings and uses a journal framing. It is a modern work of gothic and cosmic horror, rather than a newly discovered historical journal or television-franchise tie-in.
Wiggins is an author and co-host of The Annie Frey Show on 97.1 FM Talk in St. Louis.
