The horror duo of filmmaker Nirmal Baby Varghese and actor Jeffin Joseph is back, with the two collaborators joining hands once again for multiple upcoming projects.
Nirmal Baby and Jeffin Joseph have already worked together on three films — Vazhiye, Dreadful Chapters and Anthima Kshanagalu. Their collaboration is now continuing with the upcoming zombie-horror film Disease X: The Zombie Experiment, adding another genre-driven project to their growing filmography.
Nirmal Baby Varghese, founder of Casablanca Film Factory, is known for exploring unconventional storytelling, particularly through independent horror, found footage and experimental cinema. His directorial works include the found-footage horror film Vazhiye, Dreadful Chapters and Anthima Kshanagalu, the Kannada version of Vazhiye.
Jeffin Joseph, an actor associated with Malayalam cinema, made his acting debut with Vazhiye and has continued his collaboration with Nirmal through Dreadful Chapters and Anthima Kshanagalu. Their repeated association has established them as a notable filmmaker-actor combination within the independent horror space.
The latest indication of their continuing partnership came recently when Nirmal Baby shared photographs with Jeffin Joseph on social media, accompanied by the caption: “A combo that’s just getting started! Nirmal Baby × Jeffin Joseph — More exciting projects coming soon. Stay tuned!”. The post has sparked curiosity about what the duo is preparing next, particularly among followers of their horror projects.
With Disease X: The Zombie Experiment, the collaboration is moving into zombie and outbreak horror, while their IMDb filmographies currently connect the two with 10+ projects, including upcoming titles. This suggests that their association could extend well beyond the three films they have already completed.
While details of several upcoming projects remain under wraps, the filmmaker’s recent social-media post makes one thing clear: the Nirmal Baby–Jeffin Joseph collaboration is far from over.
